A slow start but a strong finish last night at Mad Squirrel, St Albans, The J45s performing with the Cowl brothers, Simon and Pete. The venue is in a stunning spot overlooking the famous St Albans Abbey and boasts 25 beer taps on site.
The sound was surprisingly good, especially the drums, which really benefited from the hard floor. My faithful Orange amplifier head (The Whoor), which I’ve had for forty-seven years, is sadly becoming a bit too heavy to lug around. I might have to downgrade to a Satsuma!
