One of the most enjoyable gigs we've played was at The Mad Squirrel Festival in Amersham. We also had great support from the talented solo singer/guitarist Nic Bennett.
It was lovely to have Anne and friends there, and I was pleasantly surprised to bump into my old friends from Norway, Tom Dreyer, and Kari.
Pippa joined us on stage and was in fine voice.
During the encore, we launched into Hey Joe, where I did the obligatory guitar solo behind my neck. Unfortunately, all of my strings went out of tune halfway through, but I carried on regardless. The solo ended up sounding more like an accidental Hungarian minor scale experiment than Hendrix!
A young lad came up to me afterwards to compliment me on the solo. I had to confess that I'd broken a string, which had thrown the guitar out of tune.
Thanks to Linda and Anne for the photos that captured the day
