Little bit of nostalgia for me before I leave Vienna playing a Gibson Flying V exactly like the one I had back in the 70s. Back in 1976 I bought my Flying V for £460. I only had it three weeks when I was electrocuted on stage and broke the neck of the guitar at the nut. Fortunately, I lived to tell the tale.
Last night, the J45s performed a memorial gig at The Holly Bush in Headley for one of their long-time regulars. The consensus was that he was given a proper, final send-off.
Thank you to the family and bar staff for their appreciation and praise for the band.
After the gig, we had our usual satnav issues with escaping the Headley twilight zone before eventually reaching the M25
We arrived home at half past midnight cream crackered.
The next gig is this Saturday in Brentford.
