Little bit of nostalgia for me before I leave Vienna playing a Gibson Flying V exactly like the one I had back in the 70s. Back in 1976 I bought my Flying V for £460. I only had it three weeks when I was electrocuted on stage and broke the neck of the guitar at the nut. Fortunately, I lived to tell the tale.
With noise limiters installed in the marquee, we were expecting a laid-back J45s night at The Woolpack in Banstead. However, an appreciative blaring boisterous crowd turned this into a high-quality fun gig with our performance being louder than normal just to hear ourselves.
Great performances from both guests Lamb Bristow and Simon Cowl all at high volume where Mr Noise Limiter did not seem to mind.
